Sabrina Avilés began her study of Spanish folkloric dance in 1978 in her mother’s native Dominican Republic. She has continued her studies abroad at the renown Amor de Dios in Madrid and in Sevilla with artists such as Manolo Marin and Juana Amaya, among others. Her company, Flamenco Dance Project, has performed extensively throughout New England, and last summer, they were invited to perform at Jacob’s Pillow
Tony Williams is the Founder and Director at TWDC. At age 16, after experiencing trouble as a street gang member, he discovered a pathway to international success through ballet. Ilanga is a dancer, choreographer, actor and singer. He heads the Youth Advisory Board at Tony Williams Dance Center. Ilanga has trained at the Boston Conservatory and has danced around the world. Ilanga founded and directed dance schools in Boston, Holland and Greece. He has been a member of the famous Doo Wop group, the G-Clefs, for many years. Lynn is a Modern and Ballet Instructor at the Tony Williams Dance Center. She has spent the past two years in Cherbourg, France, dancing with Terpsichora Compagnie de Danse where she was a principal dancer and had the honor of choreographing a piece for Les Conchor(danses) in Febraury of 2011.
